This evening has been a fairly busy one at that, the first batch of recipe cards arrived in from the printer and are now being broken down and repackaged to be sent to stores around the country! But a huge surprise came when I opened my junk folder and found an email from a fellow blogger, whom awarded me the Liebster Award. I am still in shock to be honest, I met Marian last year at Keelings, where we had a lovely long chat about everything from peppers to strawberries! haha.

It’s really amazing to think that out of the hundred odd food bloggers in Ireland, nobody seems to forget anybody, regardless of how long or short of a chat they have with each other. It makes it such a nice community of people to be involved with. Anyways, without further ado, I believe I must now award 5 bloggers!

How the Liebster Award works:

  • You thank the person who nominated you for the award and link to them.
  • Copy and paste the Liebster award to your own profile.
  • Choose 5 blogs that you think are worthy of the award, link to them and leave a comment letting them know.

My Liebster Award Recipients are: (in no particular order)

1. Mum of Invention.
Had the pleasure of meeting Catherine for a lovely lunch in The Westbury along with a small congregation of bloggers. Her blog is a great read, and some of the recipes look delicious!

2. Wholesome Ireland.
Caítríona’s blog is just amazing! It’s a mix of so many things, which all seem to work together. From cooking for kids to saving money. She also has the most wonderful handmade tags in her pictures which I am very jealous of at times. She recently got a recipe promoted by Lidl Ireland, which was cooked using lidl products. On a side note, it’s great to see companies actually supporting bloggers in any way, shape or form!

3. A Mexican Cook in Ireland.
Lily, I’ve met her twice now and you can sometimes see random Spanish tweets flying back and forward. She recently launched My Mexican Shop, which is a Mexican shop. It’s well worth a visit if you’re interested in cooking up a Mexican feast.

4. Cooking in Mammy’s Kitchen.
For a few months, we both had the same theme on our blogs. She has some lovely recipes, I’ve been eying up her Oat & Vanilla Shortbread Cookies for a day or two now in the hope I will get time this weekend to give them a try!

5. ‘Stephen Conlan‘ (Think the blog is nameless?).
Finally, someone who *may* be challenging my title of youngest food blogger in Ireland. Although a certain Nessa Robbins wouldn’t be happy with me taking that title! Anyway, one reason he’s here is because I really like his idea of adding a soundtrack to each recipe.
